About me
I’m Laura Clarke, and I’m a born skeptic.
At the CIA, I specialized in the quantitative study of insurgency and counterinsurgency, primarily in the Middle East, then in electricity and commodity markets.
In my current day job, I perform technical due diligence on energy assets, mostly solar projects. I also help electric utilities find the optimal plans to build, retire, and dispatch power plants.
Before the CIA, I worked at an economic consulting firm, ghostwriting expert testimony for securities litigation.
