FAQ
-
When should we start?
Eighth or ninth grade is the best time to start thinking about college admissions.
If you’re curious before then, I’m happy to talk, but there’s not much to do.
If your child is older, don’t stress! There are decisions throughout high school, and we can work together to choose answers that work for your goals.
-
How many hours should I book?
As many or as few as you like. Start with one, and we can choose if there are other topics to discuss or if we’d like to revisit our strategy as high school progresses.
-
Should my child attend the call too?
First, you know your child best.
I present a clear-eyed and candid view of the admissions landscape, which is illuminating for parents and older students but can be too direct for younger students. Most students in tenth graders and up benefit from attending with their parents.
-
Can I talk about more than one kid during a session?
Yes, no problem.
-
Did this business have a different name?
Yes! While I was still employed at the CIA, this business was called Clarke College Insight.
-
How are you different from my kid's school counselor?
I offer personalized attention. Many school counselors have caseloads of as many as 500 kids. You can’t be too pushy with them, either, because the counselor will write a crucial letter of recommendation.
Also, I probably take a more calculating approach to admission.

Why "Admint"?
Because I can hardly use “AI” as an acronym!
The intelligence community uses “INT” as a shorthand for different sources of intelligence. For example, SIGINT is signals intelligence, and HUMINT is human intelligence. So ADMINT is “admission intelligence.”
